One of the last, really fine makers of beautifully lithographed tin toys, met its demise about twelve years ago. Lino Vila, the then gerente was the villain, but that’s another story. Jeez, we used to be the distributor for him in America norte. We of course had sold everything we got our hands on. Well an unbeknown to us distributor, from over 20 years ago, called us after finding these last few Paya pieces while moving his warehouse. Let me suggest this as strongly as possible: Buy This Stuff Now. This is the bitter rest and there ain’t gonna be any more. These are true collectibles. These were made in the original (1905) factory in Ibi, Spain, made exactly as they were back, way back then. Power shafts running the length of buildings with power take-off leather belts running the presses. Crude, but REAL… All were limited editions anyway. Small editions at that.
